Greenhouses
A greenhouse brings you greenery all year round and extra space for your exotic plants.
Everyone wants to enjoy greenery for as long as possible. A greenhouse gives you more space and, in winter, becomes a green oasis where your plants keep flowering.
The first step is choosing the frame material — metal (usually aluminium) or wood — and the covering material.
Covering materials
- Glass — the most durable, especially with overlapping panes
- Acrylic — light and almost unbreakable, but may yellow over time
- Fibreglass — lets less light through
Maintaining greenhouse plants
- Controlled watering (drip and misting systems)
- Periodic fertilising (slow-release and foliar fertilisers)
- Treatments to prevent diseases and pests
- Replacing or topping up the growing medium
